Olympia Piano is proud to present private lessons of the highest caliber. The focus in my studio is on the fundamentals needed to become a total musician. Private lessons are currently available for students K-12. Weekly goals are clearly noted in the student’s practice binder. Students receive numerous opportunities to perform in public–recitals, master classes, mini-recitals, festivals, adjudications, competitions and other musical events.
Quality instruments are essential to the success of any musician. It is impossible to learn the nuances and colors of the piano if you do not have an excellent instrument on which to experience them. Therefore, all instruments at the Olympia Piano studio for private piano lessons are designed by Steinway & Sons, which are the choice of 98% of pianists worldwide. The studio also has several state of the art Roland digital pianos, as well as professional studio microphones and speakers. The wood floors provide for optimal acoustics.
Prospective Student Interviews
A personal interview is required for private piano lessons. This is a 15 – 30 minute meeting with the student and/or parents exploring what the prospective student hopes to accomplish with piano lessons. At this time all studio policies (tuition, lesson lengths, teaching methods, cancellation policies, studio rules, performance opportunities, lesson calendar, teaching philosophy, practice requirements) are explained in detail. Pricing information for private piano lessons is not given out by email or phone. If you are a student who wishes to transfer, we prefer to talk to your current teacher before scheduling a personal interview.
